5 Ways To Share God’s Word

Consider The Many Ways To Share God’s Word With A Lost World

Matthew 28:16-20 (KJV)

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

All Christians are called to be a light to the world. The great commission is for all of us today. Not just the disciples.

Not everyone knows the word of God, and not everyone has allowed the Lord into their lives. With God in your heart, you can help, and you can show others the comfort and the clarity you receive by allowing God within you to lead you through your life. 5 ways to share God’s word with others are:

  1. Show genuine interest – Showing genuine interest in someone, regardless of their choice of life, helps to open their heart to God and open your heart to them. Remember that Jesus never condemned the sinners he came across, he opened up to and accepted them, gently guiding them towards God’s shining light. You can mimic Jesus in this way, and take interest in them as you lead them to God.
  2. Comfort with God’s word – When those around you are hurting, you can share God’s word and Jesus’s love by using the Bible to provide comfort. Whether an illness, family trouble, marriage struggles, or problems at work, there are passages of the Bible that can provide comfort and insight to any situation.
  3. Use transparency – Honesty and transparency are important when sharing the word of God with others. Many have a conscious or unconscious block against the love of God because they feel they don’t deserve it, that they’re not perfect enough to allow God into their heart. What they don’t know is that there is no need to be perfect, and that you yourself aren’t perfect, and God will love you regardless.
  4. Don’t hide God’s love – While having conversations or casual talks, don’t hide God and his influence on your life from your interactions. Sometimes these casual talks are great ways to present God in a comfortable and relatable way, helping others to see how God may be able to influence their own lives.
  5. Live God’s word – By living God’s word, and showing the same forgiveness, patience, and love that He shows to us, you can lead by example as you share God with others. They will see how you live, and how at peace you can be knowing that God is in your heart, as they yearn to know how they can have that same level of comfort.
